I’m sorry I ruined your lives and became the kid you had nightmares about having while you were pregnant. I’m sorry I used to do drugs and I used to drink and went insane one too many times, I’m sorry I have tattoos and now this. I’m sorry every little thing I do embarasses you. But isn’t that what being a parent is about? Accepting your kid for who they are, supporting them through thick and thin, and even if you don’t support them, find a way to get your point across without driving them away? Being a parent is about caring for more than yourself. I’m sorry I’m a fuck up but I promise I will finish raising myself far better than both of you ever did.

I refuse to be close or even civil with anyone I used to be close with because I can connect every single person to something that happened in the the past two horrible years. I think they’re surprised by it, but I feel so much better.
